Karol Gajek

Specializes in intellectual property law, particularly industrial property law. Handles cases related to trademarks, industrial designs, patents, copyright, and unfair competition. Provides support to Clients in obtaining protection for exclusive rights (e.g., trademark registrations) and in dispute matters before the Polish Patent Office (UPRP), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), as well as general and administrative courts.
Has been associated with the Law Firm Głuchowski Siemiątkowski Zwara and Partners since 2021.
Over the years, he has gained experience working in renowned law and law-patent firms. Previously spent three years working in the Trademark Department of the Polish Patent Office, where, after passing the expert exam, granted protection rights for trademarks. Also completed a six-month internship at the EUIPO’s Trademark Department in Alicante, the European Union agency responsible for registering EU trademarks and industrial designs. In subsequent years, served as a speaker at numerous conferences and seminars on intellectual property law, primarily focusing on trademark law and intellectual property management.
During his practice, has handled over 200 contentious cases related to intellectual property rights, including trademark, industrial design, patent, and unfair competition matters. These disputes involved representing Clients before the Polish Patent Office, EUIPO, common courts, including the Supreme Court, administrative courts, the Supreme Administrative Court, and the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg.
He is also an active member of international organizations focused on trademarks, including the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group (PTMG).
Graduated in law from the Faculty of Law at the University of Silesia. Completed postgraduate studies in Industrial Property Law at the University of Warsaw. A member of the Warsaw Bar Association and the Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys.
