Michał Domagała, Ph.D.
Legal Counsel, Of Counsel
Specializing in energy law, particularly in network energy systems and renewable energy sources, he has participated as an advisor in legislative work related to the distribution of electricity, biomethane, and agricultural biogas. He has provided counsel to energy companies and chemical enterprises on renewable energy matters. Additionally, he specializes in local government law.
He was a member of the Scientific Council on Local Government Affairs under the Minister for Local Government Development and is currently a member of the Social Committee of the Lublin Metropolitan Area.
He is the author of monographs and scholarly articles on energy law, including “Energy Security: Administrative and Legal Aspects”, “The Obligation of Economic Cooperation Among Energy Companies”, “Supervision by the Prime Minister over Administrative Procedures Conducted by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office”, ”Forum Prawnicze” 2018, No. 5(49), pp. 50-61. He is also a co-author of the Commentary on the Act on Renewable Energy Sources and the Act on the Promotion of Energy from High-Efficiency Cogeneration “Renewable Energy Sources. Capacity Market. Investments in Wind Power Plants. Promotion of Energy from High-Efficiency Cogeneration and Offshore Wind Farms”, Volume II. Commentary.
He graduated in law from the Faculty of Law, Canon Law, and Administration at the Catholic University of Lublin, where he also earned his doctorate and habilitation. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Public Economic Law and as the Dean of the Faculty for Education.
In his free time, he enjoys sailing and attempts to play the electric guitar. He is a fan of novels by John le Carré and Mick Herron.
